ABURISM si PAST-FUTURE-IMAGISM

 Past-Future- Imagism?   Traznit la aparitia cuvantului, Google a arat prin toate dictionarele ca sa il gaseasca, si in cele din urma s-a dat batut si i-a dat credit lui Adrian Ionita pentru inventarea sa intr-un articol publicat de Egophobia. Aburismul este vazut de multi ca fiind condamnat sa fie un sub sub-gen al Cyberpunkului. Pana acum.

MESTERSUG SI INDEMANARE (BBC radio4)

Alaturi de Laurie Taylor, host pe BBC si ceramistul Grayson Perry castigatorul premiului Turner, Richard Sennett, autorul cartii recent aparute The Craftsman,  discuta intelegerea indemanarii mestesugaresti si a nevoii pentru  etica  mestesugareasca in societatea de astazi care este condusa de computer.

Profesorul Richard Sennett este profesor de sociologie la  New York University si The London School of Economics. El este autorul cartii The Craftsman (Allen Lane, 2008)  si printre cartile sale anterioare amintim The Corrosion of Character:The Personal Consequences of Work in the New Capitalism, The Fall of Public Man, Respect in a World of Inequality, si The Culture of New Capitalism, ultima, publicata de Yale University Press.  Richard Sennett traieste in New York si  London.

Aburi romanesti

In padurile intunecate ale Transylvaniei , tara lui Vlad Tepes,  „The Impaler”, s-a renascut  un monstru feroce. 

Majesticul „Vlad”,este o restaurare a celebrei locomotive romanesti Resita. Pentru amatorii de abur pur acest video vorbeste de la sine:

Resita built 0-8-0T No.764.425 icircula astazi pe ruta  Welshpool si  Llanfair Light Railway, Powys.

Cumparata in 2006, locomotiva a fost restaurata complet de Remarul Locomotive Works din Romania. Locomotiva are o certificare pe boiler de 10 ani, si particularitati mecanice ce o fac din ea o piesa de colectie rara.
